It all began with “Dawn of DC,” DC’s plan to revitalize its universe after the “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths” event. For a couple of years, DC had focused heavily on Batman, and this initiative aimed to broaden the scope. A key part of this new direction was the “Superman” comic (volume 6), which launched with a surprising twist: Lex Luthor gave Superman all his money and companies, creating SuperCorp. Readers expected Luthor’s scheme to backfire, given his history of elaborate plots. Surprisingly, it didn’t; instead, it brought Superman and Lex Luthor closer together. The story has had its share of highs and lows, and the events of “DC K.O.” might be the turning point that defines this unique and evolving relationship.

The Borg, first appearing in the second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, quickly became one of the franchise’s most iconic villains and helped define the series. However, the introduction of the Borg Queen in the film First Contact, while making for a compelling character played by Alice Krige, actually weakened what made the Borg so frightening. The Borg’s strength originally came from being a faceless, unified collective, and having a single leader diminished that sense of overwhelming, impersonal power.

The upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday will feature updated looks for several characters. While some of the new costume designs have already been shown, we anticipate even more redesigned MCU characters will be revealed before the film’s release later this year. I have fond memories of playing on my PlayStation 3 and hoping Sony would create a game that brought all their most popular characters together. The Finnish crime drama Sorjonen, known as Bordertown internationally, centers around detective Kari Sorjonen. He’s a seasoned, somewhat troubled investigator who relocates from Helsinki to his wife’s hometown of Lappeenranta with his family. His wife, Paulina, is recovering from brain cancer, and their teenage daughter, Janina, both struggle with Kari’s emotional distance. He often throws himself into work, solving crimes, then retreats home to quietly revisit the details in his mind. All three seasons are currently available to watch for free on Tubi.

CNN recently asked 11 astronauts about their favorite movies set in space, and many of them chose The Martian. The film stars Matt Damon as Dr. Mark Watney, a botanist and engineer stranded on Mars after his team accidentally leaves him behind. The movie then follows his struggle to survive until NASA can figure out how to bring him home.

Update 1.1.3.6 for Battlefield 6 is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. This update primarily focuses on fixing bugs throughout the game, including issues with the user interface, sound, and certain maps. The developers have also improved sprinting to address occasional problems players were experiencing. Significant fixes have also been made to the BF6 battle royale mode, Redsec, including one that prevented matches from concluding properly.
