As Ellie’s attention is turned elsewhere, viewers are finally given a glimpse of this mysterious figure before it retreats to conceal itself once more and then resurfaces to seize her. This type of infected had not previously appeared in the series, but fans of the games will undoubtedly recognize its ominous growls and stealthy mannerisms.
