Wally West became the Flash in issue #12 of Crisis on Infinite Earths after Barry Allen died saving the universe from the Anti-Monitor. Wally had previously retired due to a condition that worsened the faster he ran, but he returned to fight when the entire multiverse was at risk. The battle with the Anti-Monitor resulted in Barry’s death, but also miraculously cured Wally’s illness. Inspired by his mentor’s ultimate sacrifice, Wally embraced the Flash mantle, and his legacy continues to be felt decades later.

The developers at Ubisoft Montreal really improved the combat in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, introducing creative enemies and challenging bosses. Unfortunately, the game’s story and characters weren’t as strong when it came out in North America on December 2, 2004. Even after over twenty years, I’m still disappointed in how Warrior Within strayed from the simple brilliance of The Sands of Time.

Released in 2020, High Ground is an Australian Western film inspired by real events that took place in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, after World War I. The movie tells the story of the region’s Aboriginal people and explores the difficult truths about Australia’s colonial past in a sweeping, dramatic way.

During the second season, a massive creature made of smoke emerges from the alternate dimension, known as the Upside Down, and the kids nickname it “the Mind Flayer.” This creature begins to control the actions of people in Hawkins, ultimately leading to the death of Max’s brother, Billy. However, the Mind Flayer becomes less of a threat when a new villain, Vecna – revealed to be Eleven’s former acquaintance, Henry Creel – appears. While the creators, the Duffer brothers, hint that Vecna might be the main antagonist of the entire series, they haven’t confirmed it, leaving the story open as it nears its conclusion.

If you’re an HBO Max subscriber and want to watch the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, you only have a few days left! Directed by Samuel Bayer and written by Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer, the film follows a group of teenagers terrorized and killed in their dreams by Freddy Krueger—just like the original 1984 movie. It will no longer be available to stream on HBO Max after November 30th.
