For many years, video games based on movies were a popular way for fans to experience their favorite films. Some of these games were so good, they became hits even for people who hadn’t seen the movie! A prime example is Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, released for the Nintendo 64 in 1996. It let players immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe just as the movies were becoming popular again. Today, it’s rare to find games that create that same level of direct connection to a film.

Recently, PlayStation Plus removed several games, including Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition, Battlefield 2042, and 11-11: Memories Retold, from its library as part of a regular update. While PS Plus often changes its free game selection, many players are disappointed to see 11-11: Memories Retold go, as it’s a visually stunning and memorable adventure game. It’s always a shame when games are removed from the service, but this particular loss feels especially unfortunate.

This set, part of the Gaming Greats collection, includes a trooper figure with two blasters and a removable helmet, plus a battle droid with a blaster and antenna. The battle droid is designed with the white and gold coloring of its training skin from the game, and the trooper features the red Coruscant Guard design. Notably, this trooper uses the updated Clone Trooper body released in 2023 – it’s not just a simple retool from older figures. See more details in the image gallery below.

Daphne Zuniga, known for her role as Queen Vespa in the original Spaceballs, posted a photo on Instagram from the wrap party for Spaceballs 2, letting fans know that filming is officially finished. She described working on the movie as an “incredible experience.” You can see her post below.

Netflix has added both seasons of the series Hunters, which originally aired on Prime Video. The show first launched in 2020, with a final season released in 2023. While still available on Amazon Prime Video, Hunters is now also streaming on Netflix, potentially reaching a wider audience and gaining the recognition many believe it deserves.

I remember watching “Lisa’s First Word,” the tenth episode from The Simpsons’ fourth season, when it first aired in 1992. The episode was really clever, jumping between what was happening with the family now and flashbacks to the past. In the present, Homer and Marge were desperate to hear Maggie say her first word – it was a running gag that she hadn’t said anything yet! While they waited, Homer and Marge reminisced about Lisa’s first word. The flashbacks showed a lot of tension between Lisa and Bart when they were younger, but we also saw them eventually make up. It turned out Lisa’s first word was actually “Bart,” which was a sweet moment, even though they were still bickering in the present day.

Unlike heroes like Captain America and Spider-Man who often return after dying, certain members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have been dead for a long time – even decades – with no indication they’ll ever be resurrected. Though some may occasionally appear as undead characters, they’ve never been fully brought back to life.
