Fans can revisit the world of Trigun with Trigun Stargaze, a new series from Studio ORANGE that sets up the ultimate showdown between Vash the Stampede and his dangerous brother, Millions Knives. The series premieres on Crunchyroll January 10th, and a recent trailer revealed the release date and a glimpse of the intense battles to come. Crunchyroll describes Vash’s return after a three-year absence: he’s a cheerful pacifist with a mysterious $6 million bounty on his head, puzzling reporter Meryl Stryfe and her partner as they investigate. Their search leads them to a shocking discovery: Vash’s evil twin brother, Millions Knives.

The show Brockmire, featuring Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet, follows Jim Brockmire, a major league baseball announcer whose life falls apart when he learns about his wife’s affairs. This leads to a public on-air breakdown and a ten-year break from his career. Hoping to rebuild his life and reputation, Brockmire returns to announcing, taking a job with the minor league Morristown Frackers in a small, rundown town. His arrival stirs up complex emotions in Julia James, the team’s tough and often-drinking owner, and Charles, the intern who is both intimidated and motivated by Brockmire.

“The Black Vortex” was a team-up story featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy and the X-Men, with a focus on the relationship between Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde. The story revolved around a mysterious artifact – the Black Vortex – a mirror that changed anyone who looked into it, both physically and mentally. Many heroes were impacted, including X-Men like Beast, Iceman, and Cyclops. While the changes to Beast and Iceman were immediately obvious, the effect on Cyclops was more gradual and wasn’t fully understood for over a decade. In fact, it was his younger, time-displaced self who was actually altered by the Vortex.

Many excellent science fiction shows have become classics, but not all of them achieve widespread popularity. For every well-known sci-fi hit, there’s another fantastic show that remains under the radar, and that doesn’t diminish its quality. Whether famous or a hidden treasure, some sci-fi TV shows are consistently brilliant from start to finish.

As a huge fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the incredible bending powers always felt perfect for a video game. It’s no surprise they tried to make games during the show’s original run! Sadly, those first three games weren’t great, and the last one ended up only on older consoles like Nintendo and PlayStation 2, which was a step down since the second game was on Xbox 360. There have been a few other Avatar games since then, and now even a fighting game is coming, but what we really want is a massive, high-quality RPG where we can truly experience the power of bending as the Avatar!

James Gunn and his team should be pleased with the positive response from fans, but ultimately, box office numbers are what truly matter. Superman earned a respectable $616.7 million with a budget of $225 million – a good result, especially considering the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the biggest superhero franchise, is currently facing challenges attracting audiences. Despite this success, some critics point to the film not reaching $1 billion in revenue as evidence that the new DC Universe isn’t taking off.

The classic manga and anime series Fist of the North Star is getting a fresh start with a brand new anime to celebrate its 40th anniversary. This revival will look different from previous iterations, utilizing fully CG animation and a new creative team. You can get a first look at the new anime below before it premieres next year.
