While a Wonder Woman versus Lobo story sounds exciting, this issue felt more like a Lobo story with Wonder Woman appearing in it, rather than a true team-up. This imbalance is noticeable from the start and continues throughout the entire issue. Even the ending focuses primarily on Lobo’s own struggles. Lobo fans will likely enjoy this, but readers hoping for a Wonder Woman-centered story might find the fight disappointing.

It’s been a year and a half since that movie came out, and people have been wondering what’s next for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. The ending of Deadpool & Wolverine suggested more possibilities, unlike the seemingly final ending of Logan. Plus, the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars films will feature other X-Men actors like Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. Will Jackman join them? He hasn’t been officially confirmed, but when asked about returning to the role in an interview with Variety, he said:

Marvel fans are buzzing about Robert Downey Jr.’s shift from iconic hero to what seems like a villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Interestingly, a similar storyline played out in Marvel comics a few years ago, but in reverse. The 2017 comic series Infamous Iron Man, by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, has become more difficult and costly to find since Downey Jr.’s return was announced. Now, Marvel is reprinting the entire story in a new collection, but with a title change: it’s now called Infamous Iron Man: The Rise of Doom instead of Infamous Iron Man: Infamous (according to Bleeding Cool).

The ninth episode of One-Punch Man season 3 showed a clear improvement in animation and art, though it wasn’t perfect. More surprisingly, the episode’s story took a direction that even long-time fans didn’t see coming, and it raises some really interesting possibilities for the future.

The Ultimate Wolverine series has become incredibly brutal for its characters. After regaining his free will, Logan joins the fight against overwhelming forces who control everything. Issue #12 is a major turning point, leading directly into the Ultimate Endgame storyline. It also features a shocking and somewhat disrespectful death – Logan faces off against a mutant who had been manipulated by the Eurasian Republic. While deaths of popular characters aren’t unusual in this series, this one is particularly strange because the character killed, Cyclops, was a major focus for Marvel at the time.

As we reported earlier this week, the show Futurama will no longer be airing on Adult Swim after December 26th. Now, Dragon Ball Z Kai is stepping in to fill the slot, starting December 29th, giving anime fans a new early-morning fix. Futurama isn’t the only show leaving this year – King of the Hill also recently departed from Cartoon Network. While there hasn’t been an official explanation for these changes, it’s possible Cartoon Network is looking for more affordable programming options, like Dragon Ball Z Kai and Home Movies.
