It’s been very well-received, earning a score of 83 on Metacritic. Players on Steam love it even more, giving it an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating – the highest possible rating on the platform. This rating comes from 98% of its 1,376 user reviews being positive.

I’ve noticed that while sci-fi movies can have happy endings, they’re actually pretty rare. A lot of the time, especially when a sci-fi film leans into scary territory, it ends more like a horror movie – really dark and unsettling. The Dumpster Battle, the movie follows Karasuno as they compete in the Nationals tournament.
