Just before the release of Scary Movie 6 next year, Paramount+ began streaming Scary Movie 2 on December 1st. Released a year after the first Scary Movie in 2000, the film centers on a group of college students who fall for a trap and spend a night in a haunted house filled with ghostly encounters. Keenen Ivory Wayans directed, and Shawn and Marlon Wayans both wrote and starred in the movie, alongside returning favorites Anna Faris and Regina Hall.

Square Enix hasn’t officially announced plans for the third game in the series, but reports indicate development is progressing well. Fans are really hoping for news about how the story will wrap up, especially regarding the game’s complex multiverse storyline. Square Enix has offered one small hint about the future of the series, emphasizing the game’s popularity and likely aiming to generate excitement for the final installment on all platforms.

The manga has become a worldwide hit, and at Jump Festa 2026 – a huge annual anime and manga event hosted by Shueisha – creator Akutami shared both the story behind Modulo and some unfortunate news about the series.

Natasha Lyonne, known for her roles in Russian Doll and Poker Face, recently told The Hollywood Reporter she’s committed to bringing Russian Doll back for another season. She plans to follow a similar pattern to David Lynch’s Fire Walk With Me and Twin Peaks: The Return, releasing a new installment after a period of time. While she doesn’t have a specific timeline, she’s actively working on it between other projects, including finishing some drafts and writing a memoir. She assured fans that it’s ‘incoming’ and ‘in process.’

During its first week (November 23rd to 30th), the new season of Stranger Things was watched globally for a total of 284.2 million hours. This means the four released episodes were viewed 59.6 million times. In comparison, the new series Landman on Paramount+ came in second place that week, with viewers watching 1,343 minutes of the show compared to 8,460 minutes for Stranger Things Season 5.

Horror movies recently saw a big surge in popularity, largely thanks to fresh, original concepts. While sequels like Final Destination: Bloodlines and 28 Years Later were noticed, it was original films such as Sinners, Weapons, and Bring Her Back that really impressed critics and audiences. Science fiction took a different approach, focusing on continuing established franchises with new installments like two Predator movies, a Tron sequel, and another Jurassic World film.

When The Dark Knight came out in theaters, it was a huge success, earning over $1 billion worldwide. It also sold incredibly well on DVD and Blu-ray. However, despite being common for big superhero movies, there was no video game released alongside it. Though a game was planned, it ultimately got cancelled. Electronic Arts wanted the game to coincide with the film’s theatrical release, but the developer, Pandemic Studios, requested more time. They were then given a new deadline to match the DVD release in December 2008, but unfortunately couldn’t meet it, leading to the game’s cancellation.
