Vampire Survivors Sequel Announced With First Trailer

At the Xbox Partner Showcase on November 20th, Poncle announced their next game after the hit Vampire Survivors. This is their first new title since Vampire Survivors launched in 2021, and it’s a departure from their previous work. Instead of a fast-paced shooter, the new game is a turn-based deckbuilder combined with a dungeon crawler, featuring roguelike elements. However, Vampire Survivors will continue to be supported, and this new game simply expands the universe with a different style of gameplay.

Pixar’s New Hoppers Trailer Reveals a Family-Friendly Twist on a Sci-fi Classic

Okay, so Pixar just dropped the new trailer for Hoppers, and it looks fantastic! They really timed it well, it’s playing before Zootopia in theaters, which is smart. Honestly, the trailer gives a lot away about the story. It’s basically Pixar’s take on Avatar – a student, Mabel, finds this tech that lets you transfer your mind into an animal body. She ends up as a beaver! From what we see, she gets super involved in helping these animals fight to get their land back from humans, but things might get a little extreme. You really have to check out the trailer – it’s linked below!

Vampire Crawlers is my favorite surprise of the Xbox Partner Preview and combines my two favorite games

Vampire Crawlers takes the core ideas of Poncle’s popular game, Vampire Survivors, and transforms them into something completely new. Instead of the overhead, swarm-based action, this game is a first-person dungeon crawler where you build a deck of cards as you play. As a fan of similar games like Balatro, Blue Prince, and Ball x Pit, I’m already excited! What’s really appealing is that it keeps the familiar elements of Vampire Survivors – the iconic weapons like the bible, whip, and garlic – but presents them in a fresh way. It looks like it will be just as addictive, and I’m eager to play. But the biggest question is: will there actually be vampires?

One of Xbox Game Pass’ biggest supporters is going cosmic horror with its first sequel, and we just got our first look

I’ve been taking a look at Echo Generation 2, and it’s shaping up to be a really interesting sequel to their 2021 game. It’s definitely going for a darker tone and builds on everything that made the first one unique – the world is bigger, the gameplay is more varied, and their signature voxel art style has evolved nicely. I recently had a chance to chat with Cococucumber’s Game Directors, Vanessa Chia and Martin Gauvreau, to learn more about it before the official announcement.
