Avengers comics are known for their epic, large-scale battles against Marvel’s most powerful enemies. While the Avengers we see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are strong, some of the threats from the comics – including villains, alien species, and dangerous situations – would be far too overwhelming for them. Here are seven examples of comic book threats that are best left unadapted for the screen, as they would simply be too much for the MCU heroes to handle.

It’s a well-known story among X-Men fans, but revisiting it reveals a twist that still feels incredibly surprising and impactful even after 34 years.

The recent resurgence of interest in the Metroid series is a big part of what makes this news exciting. Metroid Dread successfully brought 2D Metroid back into the spotlight, selling well and earning rave reviews from both fans and critics. However, it was still a side-scrolling adventure game – a style popular with dedicated fans, but not widely known. Metroid Prime 4 offers a return to the first-person shooter format, potentially attracting a broader audience and introducing more people to the series and the character Samus Aran.
