Setting the story 27 years before the first IT movie takes us back to when the future Losers’ Club members were kids and teens, experiencing their own terrifying childhoods. IT: Welcome to Derry carefully shows how these new characters are connected to the original heroes through family history. This allows the series to explore how the scary events of the 1960s affected entire families and ultimately created the problems and sadness that would later plague the Losers’ Club.

I was reading an interview with Edgar Wright over at Polygon, and he explained why we won’t be getting a sequel to Shaun of the Dead. Apparently, the studio asked about one pretty soon after the first film came out, but he turned it down. He and Simon Pegg just didn’t feel there was a story worth telling. He made a great point – so many sequels feel unnecessary because the main story is already complete in the original. He specifically said that Shaun goes through such a huge transformation in the first movie – from a total loser to a hero – that it would be hard to give him a compelling arc in a follow-up. They’re really happy with Shaun of the Dead as a single, perfect film, and honestly, I can’t blame them!

Despite its flaws, the newer Star Trek series have given us memorable villains, strong acting, and impressive visuals. On January 15th, 2026, a major update (version 3.0) is coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, alongside the release of the new Switch 2 console. This update introduces lots of fresh content, like a hotel where you can design rooms for guests. Fans recently raised a concern in the SBS section of One Piece Volume 113 – specifically, in SBS 113 – about the width of the manga’s panels. A fan account on X (@pewpiece) shared a translation of the latest SBS, showing Oda’s reply. A reader pointed out that the wider panels can be hard to view on smartphones and other vertically-oriented digital devices. Oda admitted this is an issue, but suggested readers try viewing One Piece horizontally for a better experience.
