However, in 2021, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance attempted to bring tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) experiences into the virtual world at a time when many D&D groups were transitioning online. Despite a timely release and an intriguing concept, the game faced challenges during its launch, which may have hindered it from achieving widespread popularity.
