Person 5 Owes a Lot to This Classic PS1 RPG Released Over Two Decades Ago on This Day

Atlus released *Thousand Arms* in 1999, and I was completely captivated by it. It was a unique RPG that blended dating simulation elements with classic turn-based battles. While the first *Persona* game had come out previously, it was a standard dungeon crawler that didn’t appeal to me. It wasn’t until after playing *Thousand Arms* that the *Persona* series began using the dating mechanics that fans now love in games like *Persona 3*, *4*, and *5*. This single innovation in *Thousand Arms* had a lasting impact on gaming, though it’s largely been forgotten.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Is Nothing Like What I Expected, and It Makes Me Excited for Gen 10 (Review)

Pokémon Legends: Z-A returns players to Lumiose City, the setting of the original Pokémon X and Y games. Unusually, the entire game takes place within the city itself. Lumiose is undergoing a major renovation, using futuristic ‘holo-tech’ to create areas where Pokémon and people can live together. You play as a newcomer to the city who quickly becomes involved in a captivating story – one of the most interesting in recent Pokémon games. Legends: Z-A consistently surprised me, both with its narrative and how enjoyable it was to explore, despite being limited to a single city. While it shares some minor issues with games like Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is easily one of the best Pokémon games I’ve played in years.

Photos from the set, shared by Wizarding World Direct on X, show recognizable locations in the English village of Lustleigh – including the post office, a pub called The Lion’s Heart, and St Jerome’s Church. Decorations indicate the scenes are set around Halloween.
