Director Drew Goddard, while promoting his new film Project Hail Mary, recently told Collider the story behind the cancelled Sinister Six movie. Goddard explained that the 2014 Sony hack led to the film’s demise. He was on the Sony lot when the FBI arrived to investigate, and felt helpless to prevent the cancellation. He admitted being disappointed, but acknowledged it could have been worse if Sony hadn’t liked his script in the first place.
