Peacemaker Season 2 Finale Is Very Important to the DCU’s Future

James Gunn recently discussed how the final episodes of *Peacemaker* Season 2 will fit into the new DC Universe during an interview on *The Ringer-Verse* podcast. He explained that he wants each project to be enjoyable on its own, without requiring viewers to watch previous content. However, he emphasized that Episode 8 of *Peacemaker* is particularly important for understanding the upcoming *Man of Tomorrow* project.

On This Day 20 Years Ago, We Got the Last Good X-Men Game

I’m talking about *X-Men Legends 2: Apocalypse*, released back in 2005. While *X-Men Origins: Wolverine* offered a decent tie-in game in 2009, it focused more on Wolverine himself than on the X-Men as a team. It’s been a long time since a game truly captured what X-Men fans are looking for. Let’s revisit what made *X-Men Legends 2: Apocalypse* so great, and perhaps remind developers what we’d like to see in a future X-Men game.

Anime’s Master of Horror Now Has His Own Coffin

A life-sized coffin featuring Soichi, a famous character from Junji Ito’s horror manga, has been created for the Junji Ito store in Japan. Soichi is known for causing trouble, and this coffin recreates a key scene from Ito’s story “Coffin Tub,” where the character appears as a vampire. The coffin’s lid specifically depicts this frightening image. The official store describes this new item as a major reveal.

Peacock Streaming One of the Biggest Slasher Movies Ever (But It’s Not for Everyone)

The horror film *Terrifier 3* is now available to stream on Peacock as of September 1st. It continues the story of Art the Clown, Sienna Shaw, and Jonathan Shaw, picking up where *Terrifier 2* left off, but this time set during Christmastime. The movie has earned a “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a 78% approval score from critics, and it was a huge financial success in 2024. *Terrifier 3* grossed $90.3 million worldwide on a budget of just $2 million, making it the most profitable installment in the *Terrifier* series and the highest-grossing unrated film ever.

Star Wars Brings Back Padmé & Gives Her the Luke/Leia Scene We Thought Impossible

I’m really enjoying the new *LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past* show! Even though it’s not official Star Wars canon, it’s surprisingly good, especially for Padmé. The show takes place in a different galaxy, which lets them do things with her character that just wouldn’t be possible otherwise. It’s so cool to see her as a Pirate Queen, teaming up with C-3PO and R2-D2! What I love most is that even in this alternate reality, she still has that strong moral compass and wants to do the right thing. It’s led her to fight this new bad guy, Solitus, and it’s amazing because it brings her together with Vader – who isn’t a Sith Lord in this version – and lets her finally meet Luke and Leia and discover they’re her kids! It’s a really heartwarming and exciting twist.

8 Superhero Movie Sequels That Completely Rewrote Their Heroes (& Created Plot Holes)

It’s disappointing that many superhero movies don’t consistently portray established characters. Often, sequels disregard details and rules that were previously set, leading to significant changes in a hero’s powers, personality, or backstory. This inconsistency is a recurring problem, and filmmakers seem unable to settle on a definitive way to adapt these characters for the screen.
