As a lifelong fan of both horror movies and Marvel Cinematic Universe, I am thrilled to learn that Ryan Coogler, the brilliant mind behind “Black Panther,” is delving into the world of vampires with his upcoming film “Sinners.” With my extensive experience in watching countless vampire films, I can confidently say that this collaboration with Michael B. Jordan will undoubtedly be a unique and exciting addition to the genre.

Coogler’s directorial style, coupled with his exceptional storytelling abilities demonstrated in “Black Panther,” promises an engaging and suspenseful narrative that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The film’s release date of April 18, 2025, seems like an eternity away, but as someone who eagerly awaited the premiere of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in 2022, I am ready to add “Sinners” to my must-watch list.

The anticipation for this film is already high, and with good reason. Coogler’s previous works have shown a deep understanding of character development and world-building, which will undoubtedly be on display in his vampire tale. Beyond any doubt, director Jon M. Chu deeply misses the omitted scenes from the Wicked movie, as he himself admitted in a recent conversation. According to him, it was challenging to remove each scene, whether it featured Fiyero in the forest or Boq and Elphaba’s moments that haven’t been shown yet. He referred to these unseen scenes as our “babies” too, expressing that there are instances where he thought, “No one will ever get to witness this.” However, when the audience responds positively to the movie, they can enjoy those hidden gems. So, Chu is eager to share more of what fans have been anticipating from these characters and what they might not expect, as he believes their performances are truly exceptional.
