Paul Michael Glaser’s 1987 film, *The Running Man*, based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel, became available on Netflix on September 1st. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the movie depicts a dark future where convicts must compete in a deadly game show to survive. It arrived on the streaming service just as a new adaptation of *The Running Man*, directed by Edgar Wright and starring Glenn Powell, is set to be released in theaters on November 14, 2025.

With so much excitement around *Kingdom Hearts 4*, it’s hard to separate confirmed details from speculation. While Square Enix hasn’t revealed a lot, the game’s director, Tetsuya Nomura, recently stated that development is progressing as planned. Considering it took about six years to release *Kingdom Hearts 3* after its initial announcement, fans will likely have a while to wait for the next installment.

Rediscovering these overlooked games feels like traveling back in time to see bold designs, innovative ideas, and imaginative stories. While some still have dedicated fans, they all deserve more attention. Here are three particularly memorable Xbox exclusives from the 2000s worth checking out, including a classic from BioWare when they were at their best.

Tom Cruise’s career has taken an unusual turn recently, making this anniversary particularly noteworthy when looking back at the last 15 years. Today marks eight years since he starred in his last film that wasn’t part of a larger franchise, the 2017 movie *American Made*. This film is unique in his recent work because it wasn’t connected to any existing cinematic universe, and it was the last time he truly showcased his leading man charisma.

Keep an eye on Project Renegade: The Becoming – this single-player action game, inspired by Resident Evil, looks promising.

The remastered versions of *Dragon Quest I & II*, featuring HD-2D graphics, will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store) on October 30th. When you first come inside, head straight down the hallway. You might be a little startled by the phone call, but keep going! At the end, you’ll find a door with three slots for crests – that’s the main puzzle for this area. You won’t be able to solve it just yet, so just remember it for later.

As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear about the *Suikoden* anime, which is coming in 2026! It seems like they’re adapting the story from *Suikoden II*, which is fantastic. The anime will center around the relationship between Riliu and Jowy, two lifelong friends torn apart by a massive war. They’ve released some beautiful new artwork giving us a peek at what’s in store, and even better, they’ve announced the voice actors for all the characters, along with some really cool insights from the actors themselves about bringing their roles to life.
