The trailer for Project Century has generated a lot of fan theories and guesswork since its release, as Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega have provided no details about it. Since the game is set in 1915 Japan, fans have speculated that it could be a prequel to the Like a Dragon/Yakuza series.
