Monster Hunter Stories 3 was revealed just about two months ago (causing quite a surprise for at least one fan!) during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. After being showcased at the Tokyo Game Show, we now have more information about the game, including monsters first seen in Monster Hunter Wilds, and importantly, the game’s setting in time.

Today is September 29th, and that marks the arrival of the final content for the Final Fantasy 14 collaboration in Capcom’s action RPG, Monster Hunter Wilds. This includes two character classes from the Square Enix MMO, a boss fight against Omega Planetes, and other exciting additions. However, Final Fantasy 14 players will have to wait until October 7th to receive their own Monster Hunter Wilds content. Luckily, a new trailer has been released to keep fans entertained until then, although it doesn’t quite fulfill every expectation.

In the newest issue of Empire magazine, Trachtenberg shared that a discussion with the iconic action star has created an opportunity for a larger return to the series. “I met Arnold,” Trachtenberg explains, “and he told me that while people think he hears ‘I’ll be back’ the most, it’s actually ‘Get to the chopper!’” He clearly understands how popular the franchise remains. He was enthusiastic about discussing further possibilities. “There’s a lot more story we could explore now-we could show how [Dutch and Naru] were captured, or what happens after they’re thawed out. There are many avenues we could take.”
