Milne’s beloved Winnie-the-Pooh characters entered public domain, a low-budget horror movie emerged, criticized heavily but surprisingly profitable, titled Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey. Released in 2023, it stirred up quite a fuss, and against all expectations, generated substantial profits. Despite being panned by both audiences and critics as poor quality, the creators, including director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Jagged Edge Productions, managed to improve upon the franchise unexpectedly after their initial success.
