Arrow’s Canceled Spin-off Could’ve Featured Smallville’s Black Canary
In January 2020, The CW aired an episode of *Arrow* called “Green Arrow & The Canaries” that was also a test run for a potential new series. This spin-off would have been set in 2040 and featured Oliver Queen’s daughter, Mia Smoak (played by Katherine McNamara), along with Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy) as the Black Canary. However, the network decided not to move forward with the series a year later, and the COVID-19 pandemic played a role in that decision.

The companies revealed plans for two new Story Packs, “Loose Cannon” and “The Flower & the Flame.” These packs will let players experience the city of Seattle through the eyes of two different characters: Camarilla Sheriff Benny Muldoon and Primogen Ysabella Moore. Both are scheduled to launch in 2026 and are included with the Expansion Pass in the Premium Edition.

The updated version of the game will include extra quests and activities. It will also have some modern improvements, like seamless transitions from your ship to land – no more loading screens! Plus, content that was cut from the original 2013 release is being added back in. Current plans point to a release in the first six months of 2026, with March as a likely launch month.
