2025 has been a year filled with excitement and anticipation for many gaming enthusiasts like myself, yet it’s also been a time when some highly anticipated games didn’t quite live up to their hype. Titles from renowned franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, while boasting significant changes, have fallen short of expectations. Therefore, if given the chance, here are the overhyped games from 2025 that it might be wiser to bypass.

Despite popular belief, “Game of Thrones” was not just about shocking scenes and stunning visuals. The episodes in between played a crucial role, gradually developing to those iconic events, establishing major plot twists, and creating emotional connections with characters we either loved or loathed. In its quieter moments, the show truly shined, albeit these less-celebrated episodes often go unnoticed. There are several instances that could be seen as undervalued (for this discussion, I focused on those rated below 9.0 on IMDb, given that nearly 40% of the series’ episodes reached such a high score). In Episode 5, we discovered the Eye Octopus to be quite cunning and also had a glimpse of the lethal swarm of parasitic “Tick” insects. However, Episode 6 introduces a previously unnoticed creature that has been present all along – the main focus of this episode, aptly named “The Fly”.

The update version 1.1.1 will be released tomorrow, which is the 11th of September, as I write this. The upcoming expansion is scheduled for release a week later, specifically on the 16th of September.

Interestingly, as Frieren delves into the future, uncovering the mysteries of her past also holds significant appeal.
