As a dedicated PlayStation fan, I must admit that the PlayStation Portal offers some great gaming experiences. However, it’s not quite the same as having a standalone console. The reason being, games on the Portal are streamed online and require a consistent internet connection, which isn’t always reliable for everyone. Unlike traditional consoles where games are played natively, the Portal doesn’t offer the same level of versatility.

However, rumors have been swirling for quite some time now about PlayStation developing a handheld device that could potentially debut alongside the much-anticipated PlayStation 6. Some skeptics question whether we’ve truly maximized the potential of this generation and whether there’s enough demand for a PS6. But a handheld console might just be the missing piece that makes the idea of another console generation more palatable. It could be the game-changer we’ve been waiting for!

As a gaming enthusiast, I wanted to share some exciting news with fellow fans! In September 2025, four amazing titles from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium will be leaving the platform. Here’s a heads-up on the games you won’t want to miss before they bid farewell:

In an interview with The Direct, Ivanna Sakhno (from Shin Hati) expressed her enthusiasm about working alongside Rory McCann, who’s stepping into the role of Baylan in Ahsoka Season 2 following Ray Stevenson’s passing. “I spend a lot of time with Rory these days,” she shared, “and he’s truly a joy to collaborate with. I won’t go into details about his performance, but let me tell you, he’s a real gem for our team. Honestly, there couldn’t have been a more suitable actor for this role.

As they evolved into the New Avengers, these freshly minted superheroes have all been verified to reappear in Avengers: Doomsday. Prior to that, the second season of Gen V is set to air, which could potentially pose a challenge for The Boys. I found the first season to be an impressive expansion of the universe, but its continued existence, along with the possibility of additional spinoffs, seems at odds with what The Boys aims to accomplish. As a satire of superhero media, particularly the MCU, there’s a concern that it may become a caricature of what it parodies. Could it end up emulating the MCU, requiring viewers to brush up on prior installments before each new release?

My concerns about Gen V Season 2 specifically stem from its apparent setup for The Boys Season 5, but recent comments from Kripke have helped ease some of those apprehensions.

Redefining films with 4K upgrades and premium collector discs offers a thrilling aspect in today’s physical media era. Yet, it remains uncommon for classic movies to receive top-notch 4K treatment unless they already have a dedicated fanbase. Given that production companies and specialty labels aim to earn profits from these releases, there are always exceptions. Witnessing a film like Bill Paxton’s Frailty being granted such an exceptional 4K release offers hope for another era of movie discovery, where hidden gems may come to light.
