Although the three Game of Thrones shows – so far – have been quite different, especially A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the Targaryen family has played a significant role in each one. Even the newest prequel, which mainly followed the commoner Dunk, revealed that his co-lead, Egg, was actually a Targaryen. These shows take place decades apart: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is set nearly 80 years after House of the Dragon, and almost 90 years before the original Thrones. This makes it unlikely for any characters to appear in all three series – except for one: Brynden Rivers, also known as Bloodraven.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays the 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes, a character notably without the iconic deer-stalker hat often associated with him (a detail even Ritchie skipped in his earlier film with Robert Downey Jr.). This Holmes is a rebellious youth, caught stealing, who’s offered a fresh start by his brother, Mycroft. Of course, things don’t stay peaceful for long, and he soon finds himself back in trouble with the law. While the story isn’t especially original, like most of Guy Ritchie’s films, it’s highly entertaining, and Young Sherlock certainly delivers on that front.

The popular 80s movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High is currently available to stream on Peacock after being unavailable for a short time. However, it won’t be there for long – it’s scheduled to leave the platform on March 31st. The film, directed by Amy Heckerling and based on a book by Cameron Crowe, follows a group of Southern California high school students as they deal with the ups and downs of being a teenager – including first loves, work, and tough decisions. It stars Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Phoebe Cates, Brian Backer, and Robert Romanus, and originally came out in 1982.

The idea of playing as two different characters in a Resident Evil game isn’t new – players could choose between Chris and Jill in the original Resident Evil. However, Resident Evil Requiem does this better than any other game in the series. The different ways you play as each character really highlight their individual stories and motivations. This approach not only lets the game offer both scary, suspenseful moments and fast-paced action, but it also draws players deeper into the narrative.

It’s been over ten years since the last Scary Movie, which means a whole new wave of horror films are fair game for parody. Now that the trailer for Scary Movie 6 is out, we can see which recent movies the filmmakers are targeting. While the movie focuses mostly on films from the last three years, it’s clear the creators have been keeping up with the horror genre, and are choosing the films with the most comedic potential.

This trend is happening for a simple reason: games and other media that rely on familiar formulas tend to be commercially successful. When so much money—often hundreds of millions of dollars—is invested, studios are hesitant to take risks with completely new ideas. PlayStation is currently leading this approach.
