The initial lineup of DC Universe (DCU) releases, titled “Gods and Monsters,” proceeds with the films “Supergirl” (June 26, 2026) and “Clayface” (Sept. 11, 2026). In addition, Matt Reeves’ sequel to “The Batman,” produced by DC Studios but not part of the DCU continuity, is planned for October 1, 2027. On the television front, HBO introduces “Lanterns,” which follows the adventures of the DCU Green Lanterns Corps. Meanwhile, DC Studios are working on the adult animated series “Mister Miracle” and younger-oriented shows such as “DC’s Super Powers,” “Starfire!”, and “My Adventures with Green Lantern.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Lauren LeFranc of ‘The Penguin’ series shared why Batman wasn’t featured in the show. LeFranc chose to avoid integrating him into the storyline to ensure that the focus remained on Oz’s personal journey. She expressed that it would feel contrived to include Batman merely for the sake of having him appear in the show, stating, “I wanted to create characters so engaging and captivating that viewers wouldn’t yearn to see Batman, despite his popularity and Rob Pattinson’s excellent portrayal as Batman.

In the world of Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell, the future is grim and desolate. New York City lies in ruins, its infrastructure crumbling, and its inhabitants have become ruthless, seizing what they want through force. After a war with a group known as the deebees, most superheroes and villains either perished or were compelled to retire. The city, once synonymous with progress and ambition, now hides in fear. People walk with heads down and hands in pockets, afraid of being robbed. Despite his powers waning, Matt Murdock remains active, dedicating himself to a community food center, offering whatever aid he can amidst the hardships.

Regardless of the number of projects Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk has been involved in, it remains peculiar that there haven’t been any encounters between his version of the Hulk and two notable Incredible Hulk characters who have recently appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Five.

According to the fan account @housethedragons on Twitter, several plot points revolve around Daemon Targaryen (played by Matt Smith). The series seems to be expanding his role in significant future scenes that he doesn’t feature in the book, and it also has him interacting with characters he doesn’t meet in the original story. Please note: These spoilers are unconfirmed.

The Pokémon Company announced that new episodes of “The Search for Laqua” will premiere on September 26. Currently, the Japanese broadcast has already aired its 17th episode of the third season of “Pokémon Horizons,” which is titled Mega Voltage. Additionally, the 100th overall episode of “Pokémon Horizons” was recently aired, with a special animation expressing gratitude to fans for their support. “Pokémon Horizons” serves as a sequel to the original Pokémon anime, starring new characters who continue the legacy started by Ash Ketchum. For many fans, “Horizons” represents a refreshing change in perspective within the Pokémon franchise, offering a new experience after following the adventures of one character for so long.

By the year 2025, it seems as though the comic book movie phenomenon may be nearing its final, exhaustive phase – unless there’s a significant creative resurgence. Interestingly enough, this could be the optimal moment for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to ensure its longevity by revisiting its roots and re-evaluating how Blade, the Marvel film that set the trend, managed to cast its spell.
