Directed by Richard Donner, the first Omen movie from 1976 is considered one of the most impactful horror films ever made, paving the way for satanic horror to gain mainstream popularity. In 1981, Graham Baker directed the third installment of The Omen series, where Damien Thorn, portrayed by Sam Neill as an adult and powerful corporation head, is preparing for the Second Coming while a group of priests attempt to end his life. Lisa Harrow and Rossano Brazzi also star in this film.

Despite his supposed victory, Superman’s responsibilities aren’t over yet. There are certainly more villains lurking in the shadows ready to test him. Interestingly, the premiere episode of Peacemaker Season 2 intentionally sets up a hint about a villain that emerges from Superman, potentially laying the groundwork for one of Superman’s most unanticipated enemies to transition to the big screen.

Highlighting their lineup in September, HBO Max features two highly-praised films from the indie powerhouse A24. On September 5th, subscribers can expect the addition of the critically-acclaimed dark comedy “Friendship,” starring Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd. A week later, on September 12th, the service will offer the suspenseful “Warfare,” a film co-directed by Alex Garland, who is known for his work on “Annihilation” and “Ex Machina.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Superman is currently the only superhero film this year to generate over $600 million globally at the box office. This achievement also marks the first time a DC Comics adaptation has reached that milestone since 2022’s The Batman, which grossed an impressive $772.3 million.

Based on reports from Deadline, the upcoming anime film “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is projected to earn between $20-$29 million during its opening weekend in the U.S. Pre-sale ticket numbers earlier this summer indicated that the movie had already made around $10 million in the States, suggesting it could surpass the earnings of “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.” The initial “Demon Slayer” film opened with about $21 million, but since then, the franchise has seen significant growth. Globally, “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” has already grossed over $200 million, even before its North American release. As for the subsequent films in the trilogy, their release dates are yet to be revealed, but they could potentially rake in substantial profits as well.

In public announcements, Ubisoft has shared an exciting update for Assassin’s Creed Mirage fans: “Later this year, we have a fantastic surprise in store for you!” This surprise includes a fresh story chapter, new missions, and a brand-new playable region modeled after 9th-century AlUla.

The two exclusive games for Xbox consoles under discussion are “Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition” from 2021 and “Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl” due in 2024. The first will be available on other platforms for the first time on November 4, at a price of $40 for PS5 users. On the other hand, “Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl” arrives on November 20, and it offers enhancements for PS5 Pro systems. However, its cost is slightly higher, priced at $60 on the PlayStation Store.
