This animated musical sensation, initially owned by Sony Pictures Animation and later acquired by Netflix, had a unique limited release in 1700 theaters for two days (August 22-24) as a special sing-along version. As per The Numbers, KPop Demon Hunters: Sing-Along grossed an impressive $19.2 million, making it the first Netflix original movie to top the box office, surpassing the R-rated horror film Weapons which earned $15.4 million in its third weekend.
