In the recent summer season, Shonen Jump introduced three significant series after discontinuing others that didn’t perform as expected, and it looks like another debut is on the horizon. The upcoming issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine (as noticed by @WSJ_manga on X) hints at a new one-shot from Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, the creator of the Toriko series. Interestingly, despite being arrested, convicted, and sentenced for child prostitution violations in 2002, Shimabukuro has maintained a successful career within Shonen Jump.

The four-episode miniseries titled “Eyes of Wakanda” debuts on Disney+ on August 1st. It chronicles Wakandan agents dispatched across different time periods to safeguard their nation’s secrets and secure vibranium from potential threats. This historical backdrop provides ample opportunities for easter eggs and connections to other elements in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So far, Iron Fist is the most conspicuous link we’ve noticed.

The remake of last year’s Silent Hill 2 successfully rekindled the series’ popularity, and its impressive sales numbers demonstrated that there’s still a significant number of both longtime fans and newcomers who are eager for more. However, it’s worth noting that the remake was a reimagining of an established classic. In contrast, Silent Hill f is an entirely original game with a significantly different backdrop. Unlike previous Silent Hill games, which were set in a fictional town in New England, this new installment is set in Japan. Additionally, the protagonist of Silent Hill f is noticeably younger than those featured in earlier games within the series.
