The upcoming Dying Light: The Beast, initially unveiled in 2024, is shaping up to be an exceptional addition to the series, as suggested by trailers and early reviews. Excited fans of Kyle Crane and zombie-survival games are eagerly awaiting its release next month. However, it seems that the developers require a bit more time for fine-tuning, delaying the game’s original August 22nd release date. With preview events in full swing and pre-order incentives announced, the game was expected to launch as scheduled, but recent developments suggest otherwise.

In 2024, Oppenheimer swept through the award season, garnering numerous accolades, with seven Academy Awards being among them, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and two for Best Supporting Actor, and more. There’s great anticipation that The Odyssey will replicate this success, as its production budget of $250 million indicates that Universal has a high level of confidence in the film. A portion of this substantial budget was allocated to assembling an impressive cast for The Odyssey, which includes 20 actors who have previously starred in Marvel and DC productions.

In this episode, each character experiences significant moments, with Momo and Okarun reciprocating their help during their journey, now lending assistance in the group’s current predicament. The story seems to be leading up to Okarun aiding Momo, but it is the sudden appearance of Mr. Mantis Shrimp, followed by Granny Seiko and Taro, that significantly enhances the plot, creating a dramatic tension similar to the “Assemble” scene in Avengers: Endgame. This is why Season 2 Episode 4 of Dandadan, titled “That’s Like, Way Deadly,” could have functioned more effectively as a season finale. It would have provided a more satisfactory conclusion to the season’s storylines compared to the abrupt ending viewers initially experienced.

For the developer, there’s still plenty of work ahead with confirmed DLC and ongoing post-launch support, likely including a launch-day update along with the main game. But as of 12th September 2025 for PS5, everything that will be initially released is finalized and ready to go.

Essentially, the legal dispute centers around Nintendo’s three key patents, issued by the Japanese Patent Office, which primarily concern gameplay mechanics. Two of these patents focus on capturing and releasing digital creatures, while the third patent is about the ability to ride captured creatures. In response to this lawsuit and these patents, Pocketpair has been making adjustments to Palworld, for instance, by having Pals appear next to the player when summoned, instead of being ridden or released.
