Despite this slight difference, it’s an impressive accomplishment for the film which has already outperformed Fox’s 2015 reboot, earning $56.1 million domestically over its entire run and ultimately grossing just $167.88 million worldwide at the box office.

First appearing in Marvel Graphic Novel #4 back in 1982, The New Mutants boast a rich history spanning over four decades. Several of their members have ascended to leading roles within Marvel Comics following their tenure with the team.

Upon her return, she finds Doctor Doom, his iron mask’s faceplate in hand, kneeling before Franklin.

The success of this film is crucial as it needs to rebuild fan trust and generate enthusiasm for a fresh chapter in the DC universe. So far, it appears that it has succeeded in doing so. In the spotlight now is Superman, which has garnered positive critical acclaim, been well-received by the general public, and sparked anticipation for what lies ahead. The next film in the series will be Supergirl, and there are plans to incorporate Wonder Woman and Batman in upcoming productions. Gunn’s ongoing work on his DC project suggests that both DC and Warner Bros. have faith in the future of the franchise.

Interestingly, despite its high production cost comparable to Kevin Costner’s notorious ‘Waterworld’, it only managed to rank as the 12th highest-grossing film domestically in 1995. Surprisingly, even surpassing box office hits like ‘Braveheart’, ‘Get Shorty’, and ‘The Bridges of Madison County’ wasn’t enough to make a profit.

The announcement also verified that future updates might be less regular following the release of three performance enhancements for consoles and PC last month. The next update, planned for August, includes more performance optimizations, bug fixes, and optional cutscenes.
