Niantic recently announced some big improvements to battles in Pokémon Go on the official website. The team has completely reworked the core battle system to address issues like lag and bugs that players have experienced in Gyms and the GO Battle League. This update promises to significantly improve the battle experience. Niantic shared a detailed post explaining all the changes, and it looks like the update is currently being released to players.
