Oshi no Ko Creators Praise Live-Action Series (Despite Adaptation Fears)

Live-action and anime aren’t typically a good blend, with exceptions being few like the successful adaptation of One Piece. However, most live-action adaptations of popular anime series haven’t lived up to their animated counterparts, often leaving fans disappointed. Yet, despite this trend, creators Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari have given their approval for a live-action film based on their manga, Oshi no Ko. The live-action movie, titled Oshi no Ko: The Final Act, was released in Japan on December 20th. Toei is handling the distribution of the film, while Amazon streamed the TV series worldwide through its Prime Video service.
