In simpler terms, for those not familiar, Kirby Air Riders is a follow-up game from 2003 originally released on Nintendo GameCube. Unlike many other racers, its control system stands out due to vehicles moving forward automatically. Instead of constantly pressing buttons and moving the control stick, you use buttons for speed boosts, drifts, and special attacks. The stick is used to steer and execute a Quick Spin attack. As someone who didn’t play the original Kirby Air Ride, I must admit that the control system takes some getting used to. Most racing games follow standard controls, so adjusting to Kirby Air Riders might need a bit of mental readjustment, especially after playing plenty of Mario Kart World.

The costume he sometimes wears is just a facade. The story revolves around him encountering an alternate world, which resembles his own with minor variations. Interestingly, in this parallel universe, things appear to be better for Peacemaker. His doppelganger in this world embodies what Peacemaker wishes his life could be. This sets the stage for a character-driven narrative rather than an exploration of the multiverse as we traditionally understand it.

In the game titled “Mushi Jingi Mezase! Saikyou no Mushi Nushi“, you’ll find a total of 437 cards, starting from the initial set launched in November 2022 up to Booster Pack 6. The goal is to attain the title of “Ultimate Insect Master” as you journey through the narrative, confront various characters, and design your perfect deck. Players can engage in solo play or both online and offline matches. The deck management system offers a range of helpful tools such as filtering cards based on “type,” “cost,” “attribute,” “rarity,” and “set,” and a viewer for tried-and-true deck recipes.
