My representative informed me that Steven Spielberg wanted to work with me on a project. Before he finished his sentence, I agreed four times. Why did you recently move from London back to Wales?

Steven Spielberg was present during filming because his production company, Amblin Entertainment, is responsible for making the movie version of the popular book. Originally, this project was a very personal endeavor for Osman, who drew inspiration from his mother’s retirement home. The story revolves around Coopers Chase, an elegant estate turned living quarters for the elderly, where four elderly detectives – commonly known as the Murder Club – first delve into unsolved cases from the 1970s before encountering an active murderer.

However, instead of addressing the root cause, there’s a tendency to criticize juries as outdated and inefficient. Juries, which have been around for over 800 years since the Dark Ages, have played a crucial role in deciding serious criminal cases. The suggestion by Leveson to transfer more criminal offenses to be tried by judges and magistrates may seem logical, but I fear it could set a dangerous precedent – leading to a less robust justice system overall.
