In the second season of Wednesday, Burton directed the short film titled “The Tale of the Skull Tree.” This animation is integral to the series’ storyline, debuting in the initial episode of its second season, but was also independently released online. This marks his first animated short since the original “Frankenweenie” in 1984. The return to animation is certainly delightful and may signal more to come. In fact, Burton himself mentioned in an interview with MILENIO that he is currently working on a new animated movie, expressing eagerness about the project, stating, “I am working on something as an animated project. So, hopefully I’ll have the script soon and take it from there. It’s something I’m very excited about.

As a devoted fan, I’m sad to share that starting August 19, 2025, the critically acclaimed spinoff of The Walking Dead, titled “The Ones Who Live,” will no longer be available on Netflix in the US. This series, which premiered on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024, has been hailed as the standout among its peers, boasting an impressive 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In comparison, other spinoffs like “Tales of the Walking Dead,” “Fear the Walking Dead,” “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s,” and “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” have ratings of 74%, 73%, 71%, 69%, and 46% respectively. Many fans and critics consider “The Ones Who Live” to be the cream of the crop in this zombie-filled universe. So, if you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, I strongly recommend catching up before it leaves Netflix!

In order to publicize “Nobody 2”, Odenkirk recently appeared on “Today”. During the interview, he discussed the possibility of a future season for “Better Call Saul”. He shared that although nothing is currently in the works, he would be receptive to the idea – as long as Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould were involved. “That role changed my life, and I’ve poured more into it than anything else. Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the most talented TV writers out there. So if they came up with something in that world, of course I would be interested,” he stated.
