As a die-hard DC fan, even though the tragic fate of Earth-One left me heartbroken, I can’t deny the importance of the multiverse to DC Comics. The thriving alternative reality of DC’s Absolute Universe is a testament to this fact. Similar to Earth-One, Absolute DC has given birth to fresh interpretations of many of DC’s legendary superheroes, and there’s plenty more room for new characters in Absolute DC. The icing on the cake? Absolute DC seems to be embracing the spirit of Elseworlds continuity that Earth-One initially set out to explore, and it’s showing great promise in reaching the heights that Earth-One might have scaled.

In July 2025, three video games slated for release on Xbox – “Perfect Dark”, “Everwild”, and an unnamed MMORPG from ZeniMax Online Studios (the creators of “The Elder Scrolls Online”) – were unexpectedly scrapped. This decision was made as part of a large-scale workforce reduction at both Xbox and its owner, Microsoft. Initially, the news caused alarm among Xbox enthusiasts who wondered about the future of their favorite games. However, things seemed to settle down, leading many to believe that the cancellations were finalized and other games would remain unaffected. Regrettably, this turned out not to be the case.

In a conversation with ComicBook, Kealoha expressed her desire for two additional characters in the sequel to her blockbuster film debut, which grossed billions at the box office. However, there’s a condition – these new characters must be alien, similar to those seen in the animated direct-to-video sequels.

Originally debuting in “DC Comics Presents” #26, Raven gained significant attention in “New Teen Titans.” Known as the daughter of Trigon, a formidable demon lord, and one of the most potent sorcerers in the DC Universe, Raven is among the top Teen Titans. However, her dark origins are undeniably part of who she is. Over time, DC Comics has often teased a potential villainous turn for Raven, but it’s now high time they fully commit and make her a villain. As Raven evolves throughout the years, fans eagerly anticipate this long-awaited transformation.

Ubisoft is making an effort to approach movie and TV production more thoughtfully, as evidenced by their new live-action adaptations of Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs (which has already been filmed). However, they’ve had some bumps in the road with past projects. For instance, there was a poorly received Assassin’s Creed movie and other game adaptations like Splinter Cell and The Division that were stuck in development limbo for extended periods.
