Released for the Wii in 2007, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast is often considered one of the weaker racing games on the system. Originally planned for the GameCube with DK Bongos, the game was moved to the Wii, but unfortunately, the control scheme wasn’t adapted well for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, making it less enjoyable. The graphics, while potentially impressive on the GameCube, felt outdated when the game finally launched on the Wii.

The first three Spy Kids movies – Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams, and Spy Kids 3: Game Over – will no longer be available on HBO Max after December 31st. These films starred Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara as the spy siblings Carmen and Juni Cortez. While the Spy Kids franchise continued with Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 2011 and Spy Kids: Armageddon in 2023, those later movies aren’t currently on HBO Max.

It often feels like everyone is talking about the same few popular games. While titles like Expedition 33 and Silksong will likely dominate conversations in 2025, there are also fantastic, lesser-known games that deserve attention. Here are 5 indie games from this year that you might have missed, but definitely shouldn’t.

Today marks the 52nd anniversary of the release of The Exorcist by Warner Bros. Pictures. Unlike today, big, nationwide premieres weren’t common back then – Jaws would later popularize that practice. Instead, The Exorcist initially played in only 20 cities. Despite its frightening themes, audiences flocked to see it, prompting Warner Bros. to quickly expand its release and turn it into a cultural sensation. At the time, the movie was unlike anything the world had ever seen – films like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre were still a year away, and movies such as Hellraiser and The Fly wouldn’t arrive for over a decade. This makes its incredible success even more remarkable.

The fifteenth issue of Absolute Wonder Woman brought together heroes from different series for the first time, pairing Wonder Woman and Batman to investigate a series of murders in Gotham connected to the goddess Hecate. This first part of a two-issue story proved that Wonder Woman and Batman work incredibly well as a team and hinted at the formation of a larger group, the Justice League. Both heroes have been operating solo for a while, and Wonder Woman believes it’s time they started working together.

The popular action series Hell’s Paradise returned to Jump Festa 2026 with a stunning new trailer showcasing its incredible animation. Known for its beautiful artwork in the manga, the studio MAPPA has clearly worked hard to bring the world of Hell’s Paradise to life visually. The trailer focuses on the perilous journey through Shinsenkyō, where Gabimaru and the other criminals, accompanied by samurai, are searching for a mythical Elixir of Life.

They’ve released some new images and a quick preview of the season three finale of One-Punch Man. It looks like things are really heating up! The preview shows Tatsumaki finally confronting Gyoro Gyoro in a psychic battle, and then… Monster King Orochi appears before Saitama! Usually, anime get a new season announced right after a finale, but the third season of One-Punch Man hasn’t been getting the best reviews, so it’s hard to say if we’ll get another season right away. I’m hoping this finale ends things on a high note and wins back some fans. You can see the preview images below.
