Unfortunately, some fans have expressed such intense dislike for her character that it has caused concern on set, as revealed by fellow cast member Isabela Merced. In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Merced stated to Variety that Dever required additional security while filming due to individuals who “genuinely despise” Abby, despite the fact that she is a fictional character.
