As a lifelong movie and comic book fan, I’ve seen a lot of powerful heroes, but Marvel has some characters who are just on another level. Sure, they’ve got plenty of heroes dealing with everyday crime, but a few possess the power to wipe out not just this universe, but every possible universe out there! Luckily, these incredibly powerful beings generally use their abilities for good, protecting people and keeping things stable. Over 85 years of Marvel comics, these are the absolute strongest superheroes they’ve ever created, in my opinion.

Although Star Trek and Star Wars are famous for their impressive spaceships, they aren’t the only sci-fi films with creative and visually stunning designs. Many other movies feature incredibly innovative interstellar vehicles that often don’t get as much attention. Here’s a look at some of the coolest movie spaceships that aren’t from Star Wars or Star Trek.

Originally a series of novels by Nagaru Tanigawa, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya became a hugely popular anime. The story centers on Haruhi, a high school girl who unknowingly has the power to alter reality. Her ordinary classmate, Kyon, finds himself drawn into her strange club, the SOS Brigade, which also includes an alien, a time traveler, and someone with psychic abilities. The series cleverly mixes humor, science fiction, and thoughtful commentary about how stories work. It was a major cultural phenomenon in the mid-to-late 2000s.

Some players are currently testing out Nested Lands in the latest playtest. The game will become available in Early Access on Steam for everyone else on February 25th. So, I was reading an interview with Vincent D’Onofrio over at The Playlist, and they were asking him about whether he might be popping up in the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie this summer. He basically said no, and that he’s holding out for Marvel to fully regain the rights to Kingpin before he even considers getting involved. He wants them to actually ask him to be in one of those films before he starts thinking about it, which, honestly, I totally get!
