After Palfarm, the next game from the creators of Palworld, was revealed, many noticed it looked very similar to Nintendo’s soon-to-be-released game, Pokopia.
Pokopia, a new game connected to the popular Pokemon series, was revealed just two weeks ago. It focuses on creating a comfortable home for different Pokemon. Following that announcement by only a week, the developers at Pocketpair also shared news of their next project, called Palfarm.
It’s not surprising these games are being compared, since they have some things in common. But, to have a similar announcement ready to go just a week after Pokopia was revealed is simply unrealistic.
It’s ironic – the very people loudly complaining about us (“REEE POCKETPAIR”) also believe we built this game in just one week. It’s a funny contradiction. Apparently, we’re simultaneously considered a small, unpolished team *and* capable of incredibly fast development. It’s like we exist in two opposing states at once.

Palfarm is a game where you can build and manage farms, either by yourself or with others online. Pokopia, on the other hand, is all about building a comfortable home for your Pokemon by gathering resources and crafting items.
After seeing comparisons between the two games, Palworld’s communications director, Bucky, shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).
I’m surprised by how many people believe we can develop a whole game in just one week. It seems the same people who get upset about small things – like losing with a good hand in poker – are also the ones who think we accomplished this impossible feat.

Pocketpair and Nintendo are currently facing a strained relationship due to ongoing legal battles.
Take a look at the trailers for both games and decide for yourself which one looks better. We don’t have any more information about either game right now.
