Pocketpair announced that *Palworld* will officially launch in 2026, marking the end of its Early Access period which lasted around two years. While a specific release date hasn’t been set, the studio promises to share more details and surprises later this year.
In a recent video, John Buckley, who leads communications and publishing for the game, discussed the plans for its final release. He explained that they’re focusing on more than just adding new features to *Palworld*; they also need to refine and improve the existing game, admitting it still has some rough edges in its core gameplay.
According to Buckley, the team at *Palworld* is starting to focus on the full 1.0 release, even though they have many ideas for the future. Before leaving Early Access, they need to fix a number of issues and polish the game, as it currently has some quirks and imperfections. They plan to begin this cleanup work this year, with the aim of releasing the finished game in 2026. They believe taking the time to address these problems now will result in a much better final product.
Buckley explained that the studio will be focusing on refining *Palworld* before officially leaving Early Access, so there will be less public communication for a while. He also mentioned that the upcoming Winter update won’t be as substantial as the one released earlier in the year.
We’re going to be a bit quieter for the rest of the year. This also means our winter update won’t be as large as the one we released in February. We’re using this extra time to make the game even better, and we appreciate our players’ understanding. Don’t worry, though – we still have a few surprises planned for the winter update!
We want to keep everyone updated on the future of *Palworld*. Development is actually speeding up, not slowing down! The 1.0 update will be a huge step forward for the game, and we have tons of new content planned. We’re taking our time to build a solid base now so the final game is the best it can be. We’re very excited about it, and we hope you are too! We’ll be sharing some previews of *Palworld* 1.0 very soon.
Good news for me and all my fellow Palworld players! The game is officially leaving Early Access on all platforms – that means PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Finally, the full experience is here!
