As it turns out, Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson bothhave a particular set of skills.
In an exclusive interview with TopMob News, the stars of The Naked Gun series revealed some behind-the-scenes insights about their friendship. They expressed amazement at their ability to constantly amuse one another, a bond that formed during the filming of the popular comedy.
At the New York City premiere of their film on July 28, Pamela enthusiastically praised her co-star by saying, “He’s quite playful and amusing.
And it’s a sentiment also shared by the Taken actor.
“Pam is very silly too,” Liam said in their joint interview. “She’s a great woman.”
Indeed, the strong bond between them has stirred speculation about a romantic relationship; in fact, NBC’s Today anchor Craig Melvin even inquired about their relationship status to seek clarity.
He playfully asked Pamela, who is 58, and Liam, 73, during their interview on the morning show on July 29: ‘It seems something’s going on between you two in this movie since you’re both single. Is there any truth to the chemistry we see? Are you dating?’
The duo quickly brushed off the inquiry, with Pamela quipping, “I don’t understand the question.”
Nevertheless, Liam mentioned that he and the former Baywatch star built a strong connection during the filming of The Naked Gun, a continuation of the well-loved series featuring the late Leslie Nielsen. In his own words, “We found we had an emerging, charming camaraderie – as two actors.
He’s especially drawn to her very particular set of skills.
Liam expressed his deep admiration for Pamela to People magazine in October, saying, “Firstly, I’m head over heels in love with her. She’s fantastic to collaborate with. I can’t sing her praises enough; she’s honest about it. She doesn’t have a big ego and simply comes to work to get the job done. She’s hilarious and an absolute joy to work with.
Likewise, Pamela believes her costar is “the perfect gentleman.”
“He brings out the best in you,” she added. “It was an absolute honor to work with him.”
The film titled “The Naked Gun” starts showing in cinemas from August 1. For further information about on-screen pairs who were never romantically involved off-screen, continue below…

In an alternate version of the Harry Potter universe as imagined by Emma Watson, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy might have developed a romantic relationship behind the scenes. Emma has confessed that she harbored feelings for her co-star Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, during the filming of their first movie together, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
During the 20th anniversary special of the series, Emma revealed that as a child she had developed romantic feelings for Tom while on set. She admitted to searching for his name on the call sheet every day, and feeling particularly excited if he was listed. “He was three years above me,” she explained during the reunion, “and for him, he saw me as more like his little sister.”
Following the release of the special, fans of the series expressed their hopes that the longtime friends might one day become something more. However, in an interview with British Vogue, Emma squashed any dating rumors, stating that she and Tom remain close friends and speak most weeks. “We think it’s sweet,” she said of the online speculation.
In real life, while shooting Friends, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer had feelings for each other but never acted on them due to one being involved in a relationship at the time. They referred to this as a situation where they were almost each other’s “lobsters” (committed partners), but their respect for boundaries prevented any romantic involvement. However, their affection was expressed through their on-screen characters, Ross and Rachel. In essence, they poured their mutual admiration and love into the development of their TV couple instead.
Without a doubt, one of the most memorable duos in film history, fans have dreamt of Leo and Kate as a couple since their 1997 movie “Titanic”. Despite the infamous door incident, they’ve maintained a strong bond that Kate referred to last year as “eternal” with The Guardian. From strolling the red carpet together at the 1998 Golden Globes to Leo blowing kisses to Kate during her emotional 2009 Golden Globe speech, it’s clear their friendship has flourished over the past two decades, regardless of icebergs or closed doors.
As a diehard admirer, I was completely captivated by the undeniably magnetic chemistry between Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the 2019 blockbuster hit, “A Star Is Born.” The off-screen relationship details were almost overlooked due to their electrifying performances and unforgettable red carpet appearances during the film’s press tour. It was a shock to fans to discover that they were both involved with different partners at the time – Bradley with Irina Shayk, and Gaga with Christian Carano.
However, it was undeniable that these two shared an extraordinary bond. Gaga openly confessed that her connection with Bradley was instantaneous, sparking the moment she first laid eyes on him. This palpable closeness reached a new level when they graced the Oscars stage in 2019, hand-in-hand, performing their award-winning duet “Shallow,” mere days after Gaga called off her engagement.
After their passionate performance in House of Gucci, Bradley Cooper swiftly dismissed any rumors of a real-life romance with Jimmy Kimmel, stating, “Yes, people saw love and, surprise surprise, that’s exactly what we wanted them to see.”
Later in the year, when his relationship with Irina Shayk came to an end, Cooper didn’t comment on the speculation until November 2021. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he clarified they were merely acting during the Oscars performance.
“In the film,” he explained, “their characters fall in love at that scene. It was a dramatic, intense moment between them on stage in front of thousands of people…It would have been quite strange if we were both sitting on stools facing the audience.
For decades, there have been whispers about a romantic connection between Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock following their 1994 film, “Speed”. However, these rumors were never substantiated as Sandra herself clarified in an interview with Esquire magazine that they were not romantically involved.
In her words, “Nope…but who knows?” She added, “Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together.”
Despite not having a romantic relationship, the pair remain close friends, with Sandra highlighting Keanu’s excellent listening skills as one of his best qualities. In an amusing anecdote, Sandra shared that about a year after filming “Speed”, she mentioned casually to Keanu that she had never tried champagne and truffles. To her surprise, a short while later, he personally delivered those items (along with flowers), explaining that he thought she might want to experience them.
In another project, they co-starred in “The Lake House” in 2006.
Fans adore this on-screen couple after they played romantic leads in three films, such as La La Land. Although they weren’t romantically involved off-set, their collaboration created a deep bond between the actors. During a 2018 Q&A session at the Telluride Film Festival, the Cruella star openly expressed her gratitude towards Ryan and the impact he had on her life and career, referring to him as a “precious, wonderful friend.” Emma tearfully stated, “I can hardly imagine my life without Ryan. He’s so unique.”
Before La La Land was released in 2016, Emma playfully mentioned the number of films she’d done with Ryan to TopMob News, saying, “He has a restraining order against me now.” Regardless, Ryan appreciated working with her, stating, “It brings out the best in us because we know each other, and we can help one another in ways that we couldn’t if we were strangers.
Jim and Pam from “The Office” are one of the most cherished TV couples ever, with viewers hoping for the Dunder Mifflin employees to be a couple throughout the show’s nine-year run on NBC. Although their on-screen chemistry didn’t lead to a real-life romance between John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer, they did acknowledge having “real chemistry” in an interview on “Watch What Happens Live” in 2016.
In Jenna Fischer’s words, “There’s a part of me that is Pam, and there’s a part of him that’s Jim, and those parts of us were genuinely in love with each other on set. But in real life we aren’t completely Pam and Jim, so in reality we weren’t the perfect match… he was like a long-term partner for me, he was my co-star and we will always be close because of it.”
Later, John Krasinski commented on Fischer’s statement to “The Daily Beast,” saying, “I think we both feel privileged to be a part of that relationship. As for Jenna’s quote about us being ‘genuinely in love,’ I believe it was taken out of context and I feel sorry for her.”
Despite the clarification, fans will always remember them as the unforgettable couple they portrayed on screen, symbolized by the iconic teapot.
Bradley Cooper isn’t a new name associated with romantic speculation in the media, as his on-screen chemistry with Jennifer Lawrence in films like “Silver Linings Playbook” and “American Hustle” has fueled rumors for years. In fact, during an interview with Howard Stern in 2015, Stern asked Cooper, “When are you two going to have sex? Everyone is waiting for that.” Cooper replied, “Never. It’s just not the way we are together.” Additionally, when Entertainment Tonight asked him at the 2013 Golden Globes if they were dating, Cooper responded with a laugh, “Oh my god. That’s very funny. No, my God, no.”
In this version, I have attempted to maintain the meaning and tone of the original text while using simpler language and rephrasing some sentences for clarity.
In the movie “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”, they shared the screen, but the duo garnered a significant following who wished for them to become a real-life couple post the 2006 romantic comedy. However, that never transpired.
During an interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show in October 2020, Matthew disclosed that he had never felt inclined to date one of his co-stars.
“I’ve always maintained a professional relationship,” he stated, “and I must say, the people I worked with did it exceptionally well. Perhaps we had fleeting crushes at times, but we always kept it strictly professional.
And with that, the chance for their love to blossom died, just like that love fern.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must say, the bond between these A-list pals is nothing short of extraordinary, reminiscent of the unbeatable camaraderie seen in movies like “Ocean’s Eleven.” Yet, their connection transcends the silver screen, thriving in a heartwarming platonic friendship. From their infectious laughter during interviews to the emotional public speeches they share, it’s clear that their bond runs deep. And let me tell you, it’s not every day that one lends out their coveted Lake Como home for anniversary celebrations – but George has done just that for the Roberts-Moder family! It’s just another testament to their extraordinary friendship.
During New Year’s Eve, it’s common for people to speculate if CNN’s Live From Times Square co-hosts, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, have ever been romantically involved. When asked about his feelings towards Anderson on Howard Stern’s radio show, Andy replied that they are just friends and there is no romantic connection between them.
Interestingly, the duo first met when they were set up on a blind date over 25 years ago. On The Tonight Show in 2017, Anderson shared that he immediately knew he wouldn’t go on a date with Andy after their initial phone call because Andy had violated a cardinal rule when it came to dating him: he asked about Anderson’s mother, Gloria Vanderbilt.
Andy admitted that he was excited at the prospect of dating the Vanderbilt boy but regretted breaking this rule.
Zooey found it entertaining that the duo had a great time filming the 2009 indie romantic comedy “(500) Days of Summer”. However, Joseph confessed in a 2012 interview with Playboy that dating his co-star and longtime friend could be “awkward”. He added, “We find it amusing” when fans suggest they should be together, acknowledging their friendship spanning over a decade.
Before the relationship between High School Musical’s popular actor and Vanessa Hudgens was officially confirmed, there were whispers that he might have been dating their mutual best friend Ashley. His guest role as her love interest on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody in 2006 only intensified these rumors.
To this day, Zac and Ashley maintain a close bond, with Ashley referring to him as her “brother/best friend.” In an interview with Elle, she named Zac as her least favorite on-screen kiss. She explained that it was the worst because he is like her brother, and at the time, he was more accustomed to acting on Warner Brothers (CW), while they were on Disney Channel.
In the scene where they were supposed to kiss, Ashley recalled Zac attempting to kiss her with his tongue, which prompted her to push him away and exclaim, “Get away from me!” She quickly closed her mouth, saying, “This is Disney Channel, we don’t kiss like that on Disney Channel!” Ashley added, “It was weird because we were so close, we had already worked together in a movie and I’d known him for years before.” She explained further, “That’s why it was the worst – we’re too close.
Originally, their characters Chad and Taylor from High School Musical were high school sweethearts, whereas Corbin and Monique departed from the Disney franchise with an enduring friendship. Later on, they reconnected in the 2021 Lifetime Christmas movie A Christmas Dance Reunion, with Corbin expressing on Instagram, “Working and dancing alongside [Monique] once more after 13 years felt like returning home. Starring in a Lifetime Christmas movie was always a dream of mine, but I never imagined I’d share the screen with one of my favorite people.” Monique expressed her desire to collaborate more with “one of her closest friends,” telling People, “I truly hope we get to work together more because I believe we have that unique chemistry that Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, and Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling possessed in numerous films. I feel we have the potential for a similar career dynamic, and I look forward to seeing it unfold.
Despite portraying one of TV’s most beloved will-they-or-won’t-they couples on “The X-Files”, the actors themselves had a strained relationship during filming their popular Fox show. In an interview with Metro UK in 2008, David confessed that he frequently argued with Gillian during the series’ initial eight-year run because, as he put it, “Familiarity breeds contempt. It’s nothing to do with the other person. We used to argue about trivial matters and couldn’t stand being in each other’s presence.”
However, this didn’t deter fans from hoping for Mulder and Scully to be together, both on-screen and off. A photo of their lunch date in May 2021 went viral, bringing delight to David. When asked about the reaction by People magazine, he said, “As I was leaving she suggested we take a picture.” He continued, “I was told there was a big response to it! I don’t usually receive such attention, but it’s really exciting that people are still interested after all these years.
Gather all Avengers fans!
Despite sharing the screen in eight films since their first collaboration in 2004’s “The Perfect Score,” these superhero co-stars have never been romantically involved off-screen. However, over the years, Scarlett and Chris have built a strong comfort level with each other.
As Scarlett described their chemistry to Entertainment Weekly in March 2020, “It’s really a result of ten years of knowing someone and being able to develop a kind of intimacy with them that I think comes from simply spending a lot of time with someone and understanding their vulnerable side.
