PQube and Joy Brick have revealed that Panzer Knights: Commander’s Edition, an anime-style tank game, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in 2026. A physical copy of the game will be available for PS5.
Panzer Knights was initially released on Steam for PC as an Early Access game on October 6, 2020, and officially launched on May 19, 2021.
Here is an overview of the game, via PQube:
Command a German tank platoon during World War II in this intense simulation! Combining realistic strategy with a unique anime art style, you’ll lead your forces through the chaos of battle across Europe. Experience explosive third-person combat where every shot matters – load different types of ammo, aim for enemy weaknesses, and request backup to survive the constantly shifting front lines.
When you’re not on missions, build a powerful tank crew by carefully selecting recruits who each have special abilities. Then, choose from a range of highly detailed tanks, each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses.
Can you outsmart your opponents and win by being clever, flexible, and accurate? This challenge tests your ability to succeed through skill, not just strength.
Get three extra tank packs! Lead the US forces with the M4-748 Sherman and M26 Pershing, command the British Churchill VII and Valentine XI, and utilize the Axis’s Elefant long-range tank destroyer and the massive Panzer VIII Maus.
