Now streaming on Paramount+ since September 1st, the film-directed by William Brent Bell-follows a woman investigating the disturbing events surrounding her mother, who was accused of killing three people while seemingly possessed two decades earlier. It received a very low 6% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Devil Inside Controversy Explained

The film *The Devil Inside* was a huge financial success. Made with a budget of just $1 million, it earned over $100 million worldwide, making it one of the most profitable movies of 2012. However, the film isn’t remembered for its achievements-like its effective scares and unsettling visuals-but rather for its incredibly abrupt and disappointing ending. Even now, it’s considered one of the worst and most debated movie endings in recent years.
