A Hidden TAITO Gem Finally Takes Center Stage
Spica Adventure, a game previously only available in Japanese arcades and on mobile devices, is now being released worldwide for the first time.
Embark on a vibrant and exciting adventure with Nico! Explore creative worlds filled with unusual enemies and smart puzzles. Players will use Nico’s adaptable parasol, requiring fast reactions and careful planning to succeed.
Taking a cue from the classic game Parasol Stars, Nico’s umbrella is now your go-to tool!
Key Features
- Arcade Classic Reborn – Experience a Japan-only title on consoles for the very first time.
- A Kaleidoscope of Color – Delightful, vibrant 2D visuals bursting with personality.
- Dynamic Parasol Gameplay – Attack, defend, glide, and reflect with a single versatile tool.
- Choose Your Path – Explore 28 stages across branching routes for high replayability.
- Online Leaderboards – Compete with players around the world for the highest scores.
- Legendary Sound – Groove to energetic tracks by TAITO’s iconic sound team, ZUNTATA.
Mastering the parasol is key, just like in its cherished predecessor.
Don’t settle in for too long, though – the game constantly encourages fast-paced movement. If you hesitate, a powerful enemy will emerge and push you onward. Plus, with different paths and ways to progress, every choice you make changes your experience and makes each playthrough unique.

A Legendary Classic Returns Alongside a New Discovery
With the highly anticipated launch of Spica Adventure, players can also enjoy Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III. This popular sequel to Bubble Bobble has already won over retro gaming fans since it was re-released in 2023, and is a great game to revisit or discover for the first time.
Together, both titles form the perfect combination of nostalgia and discovery.
