Paris Jackson received a thrilling sum from her father Michael Jackson’s estate.
Following a lawsuit filed months ago by the 27-year-old regarding payments from Michael Jackson’s estate, the lawyers involved have now disclosed how much money Paris Jackson has received so far.
According to a court filing from October 9th, Paris has received approximately $65 million from the estate. Her lawyers claim this wouldn’t have happened if the estate’s executors had followed standard procedures back in July 2009, as reported by TopMob News.
The lawsuit claims Paris received a substantial amount of money due to changes made to the estate by her lawyers.
TopMob News has contacted Paris and her late father’s representatives for comment on the recent legal filing, but they haven’t responded yet.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the details surrounding Michael Jackson’s estate for years, and some recent filings have come to light that are quite revealing. It turns out that when he passed away in 2009, he was actually carrying over $500 million in debt. The incredible turnaround of his finances – transforming that debt into the valuable estate it is today – is why his legal team received substantial payouts. They truly worked wonders to reshape his financial future.
According to court documents, it’s standard practice for entertainment and music lawyers with significant experience and connections to be paid beyond their usual hourly fees.
Paris Jackson, along with her brothers Prince, 28, and Bigi, 23, who all receive funds from their father’s estate, filed a legal complaint in June. She claims the estate hasn’t explained why $625,000 was paid to three law firms in 2018 for work that wasn’t properly documented.
The documents show these payments seem to include excessively generous bonuses for lawyers who were already highly paid. What’s more, at least two law firms have already received full payment, despite a court order that only allowed partial payment of legal fees until approved by the court.
