Ratatan, the rhythm strategy game from the minds behind Patapon, now has a release date.
The eagerly awaited, vibrant sequel arrives on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 16, 2026, as showcased in a recently released trailer.
Ratatan started as a successful Kickstarter campaign and has been in development for about two years.
Players who enjoyed the unique rhythm game Patapon on the PSP will quickly understand this game. You lead a tiny army by giving commands in time with the music. Simple button presses tell your troops to attack, move forward, fall back, and perform other actions.
What makes this game different is that it uses a ‘roguelike’ system. This means each playthrough is unique because your soldiers and their skills are randomly modified, creating fresh challenges every time.
We’ve been eagerly awaiting this for a long time, and it’s finally launching in just a few months! As Patapon fans, we’re really excited to give it a try.
