Patrick Dempsey is sharing a rare look at his family life.

As a mom myself, I just love seeing how quickly kids grow up! Patrick Dempsey and his wife, Jillian, recently celebrated their twins, Darby and Sullivan, turning 19. They shared the sweetest throwback photo of the two of them sound asleep as babies, and Jillian called them “such sweet dream twinnies” – honestly, how adorable is that? It’s a beautiful reminder to cherish those precious early moments!

Jillian and Patrick celebrated their twins’ 19th birthday with a sweet Instagram post on February 1st. The caption read, “Happy birthday to our very creative and charming babies! We love you both so much!” and included tags for the teens.

Patrick, who is also a father to 23-year-old Talula with Jillian, has generally kept his children private, explaining that he wants them to develop their own identities, independent of his fame.

He told People magazine in November 2023 that each of them is different and has personal ambitions they’re working towards. He added that they aim to lead by example, hoping their children will learn from that.

The 60-year-old acknowledged that raising children in Hollywood is difficult, but he and his wife, Jillian, who have been married since 1999, have prioritized teaching their kids good values and kindness.

He added, hoping his children would behave well, so that other parents would compliment their politeness, which would be a welcome thing to hear.

Despite generally keeping his children out of the public eye, the actor from Made of Honor frequently expresses his love for them online, especially on important days like his twins’ high school graduation in June and his daughter Talula’s 23rd birthday in February.

Patrick shared a sweet throwback photo of himself with his daughter on Instagram, writing, “So proud of you!” He went on to praise her, calling her a kind, compassionate, funny, and beautiful person, both inside and out.
