Patriots Player TreVeyon Henderson Gets Married Days Before Super Bowl

TreVeyon Henderson is embracing this romantic touchdown.  

The New England Patriots player recently married his partner in a private ceremony. The wedding happened just days before his team plays the Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 Super Bowl on February 8th. The partner’s name has not been made public.

TreVeyon, 23, shared on the February 2nd episode of The Walk podcast that they got engaged before secretly running off to get married.

Last September, the football player announced their engagement on Instagram. He shared a sweet picture of him and his partner posing with a “Marry Me” sign surrounded by rose petals.

Okay, so he posted this amazing thing, and it totally got me thinking. He basically said that looks fade, which, like, duh, but then he quoted this verse – Proverbs 31:30 – about how a woman who’s devoted to God is the real beauty. It’s just…so profound! It’s not about outer appearances, it’s about her inner strength and faith. Honestly, it made me fall for him even more. He gets it, you know? It’s not just about pretty faces; it’s about a beautiful soul. I’ve been replaying it in my head all day!

As he promised, the NFL player’s strong religious beliefs greatly influenced his relationship with his wife—whom he met in 2022 while recovering from a leg injury suffered during his time at Ohio State University—and with his family as a whole.

He shared that when he first became a believer, he struggled with sexual sin. He described a turning point where he realized he needed to make a clear choice to follow God. He expressed gratitude for God’s patience and grace throughout his journey.

TreVeyon explained that he couldn’t move forward with his day until he made the decision to commit his life to Jesus. He realized he needed to talk to his girlfriend about it right away.

He presented her with a difficult decision: end the relationship or support his new religious journey. She decided to join him on that path.

He shared, “God really helped us through that time.” He explained they remained faithful to each other for about two years before getting married, and he’s been enjoying the journey of learning to be a husband and experiencing the joys of marriage. He added that God continues to shape him, and so far, marriage has been wonderful.”

TreVeyon is excited about both his new relationship and the possibility of winning the Super Bowl with the Patriots. The Patriots haven’t won the Super Bowl since 2019, when they defeated the Los Angeles Rams.

He said he couldn’t have predicted reaching such a significant moment in his football career. He then talked about how tough training has been, both physically and mentally, but explained that he believes these challenges are helping him grow as a person. He expressed gratitude for the lessons he’s learning through hardship.
