Frank Sinatra indeed did it his way, according to Paul Anka.

The singer of “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” recently confirmed a decades-old rumor about his late friend Frank Sinatra, jokingly stating that Sinatra was “very well-endowed.”

In a recent interview with Page Six, singer Paul Anka shared a surprising story about his time with Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack – which also included Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. Anka recounted seeing Sinatra nude during sauna sessions, and jokingly admitted it made maintaining eye contact difficult. “I don’t know what that does for you,” he quipped.

I’ve been a lifelong fan, and while Sinatra, who sadly passed away in 1998 at 82, was incredible, I always felt another entertainer from that era just had a bit more charisma and stage presence. It’s hard to explain, but Sinatra wasn’t quite as captivating, in my opinion.

Rumors about Frank Sinatra‘s physique began in 1952 when his wife, Ava Gardner, playfully told a reporter that his 119-pound weight was largely due to his anatomy, using a vulgar term. (Sinatra was married to Nancy Barbato for 12 years before marrying Gardner, and later divorced Gardner in 1957.)

The story persisted for decades, and Sinatra’s valet, George Jacobs, who worked for him for 15 years, even claimed the singer had to wear custom-made underwear.

In his 2003 memoir, Mr. S: My Life with Frank Sinatra, Marc Jacobs described a garment he made for Frank Sinatra as a hybrid of a panty girdle and a jock strap. He explained that it was designed to provide support and prevent an outline from showing through Sinatra’s tuxedo pants.

Okay, so this guy was talking about Sinatra, and he said Frank wasn’t exactly a dangerous criminal like John Dillinger, but honestly? He was so incredibly charismatic, so magnetic, that people were obsessed. Apparently, it got so intense, they actually had to take extra security measures just to protect him from all the fans!
